Supporting student success
At Language and Learning, we believe all students can learn. Every student has skills and abilities that can be utilised to support areas of weakness. School-age students may need support with strategies to support language skills, reading, spelling, oral reading fluency, comprehension, vocabulary or writing (including essays).
We complete a comprehensive assessment to develop a profile of your child’s strengths and weaknesses. This information allows us to customise a plan of intervention that incorporates explicit teaching of skills and strategies that use appropriate technology as required. Our goal is always to provide age-appropriate support to encourage student independence and optimise learning outcomes in the classroom.
Language and Learning provides a service to schools and works with mainstream students from K-12. Referrals are not required for an assessment. Additionally, we offer a year-round clinic service on fortnightly Saturdays at Sport and Spine Physiotherapy in Adamstown. We are a registered provider for NDIS, Medicare & Private Health Funds.
